The train of the day, scored a whopping 77.5% mainly because of the free two course hot meal, although I opted for chicken and caesar salad, it was very good and washed down with a beer (wine and spirits also on offer).
In my appraisal, if something is missing which should be present it scores negatively. Thameslink, Grand Central and Great Northern all had four or more negative items. LNER only had one: I couldn't see a rubbish bin near my seat. However, staff always seemed to be near at hand to take away used cartons, cups and cutlery.
I wonder if any other train company will beat 77.5% during my travels
